Beatrix Potter

Just got back from Beatrix Potter's house and farmland. Amazing country. It is considered lake country in England because of the huge lakes the surround the area. Her house is cute and almost untouched. The house also had a display of the making of the movie, Ms. Potter with Renee Zellweger. We spent three days in the lake country at a really cute bed and breakfast, so I am a little tired. Also spent some time in Scotland last weekend. Even took a side trip to St. Andrew's golf course. My husband told me to go, and I am glad I did. A little disappointed that women can not go in the main club house (the Bennie coming out in me!), but I took it in stride.
Gotta go, I have class all day tomorrow!

I'm Here!!!

Hi guys!
I made it to England. The flight was great and we settled into our castle early Monday morning. The castle is amazing. I will download pictures once I can get my laptop to work. Unfortunately, the castle's wiring doesn't support wireless on a regular basis or for that matter and ethernet. So, late at night I have to sit outside the castle gate and use the Duke's router. Seriously. The Duke and Duchess of Alnwick and their small children do live here, and in fact the Duchess was seen in the garden. For those who know me.....royality and nobility is right up my alley. Tommorrow I am going to Scotland with three other students and hopefully I will make my way to St. Andrews. I am off for now. My goal is to post some pictures tonight!

Good afternoon!  Wanted to show a picture of Maggie, as she just turned four on July 7.  I also just finished biking 35 miles with my sister and brother-in-law at the Tour of Saints.  I am feeling the burn.  Tomorrow I leave for London and still am not packed.   I also do not know how to use my new camera, but no fear I figure I have 10 hours of flight to figure it all out!
Cheerio for now, I will hopefully post more pictures from England and Scotland.  Stay tuned!

Greetings!!!!
This is my first adventure in blogging and I am sure my little sister Anna is rolling around in her office in shock and disbelief that her older sister is actually blogging.  What is amazing to me, is that I kinda know what I am doing.  Shocking.  Really.  For those who really know me, technology has not always been a friend to me.  But now that I am a computer teacher (also shocking) I thought I better know everything about blogging.  So here goes this new adventure.  I hope you find our simple little life somewhat amusing.  We do.  I hope to also keep everyone abreast of my travels to England this summer.  So off I go!
